History

MCA Consultants, Inc. (formerly known as MCA Engineers, Inc.) was founded in September 1972 to provide consulting services to the Offshore Drilling Industry. Some typical early projects included Deep Sea Exploration and Production, Deep Sea Mining, Design of Open Ocean Spread Moorings, Kelp Farm development, Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion, and Large Diameter Pipe Laying.

During 1980's, our activities were focused in two areas: engineering support for local refineries, and Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC) structural analysis. MCA developed a series of computer programs that supplemented the Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of VLCCs. As a result, MCA acquired international acclaim for their expertise in fatigue analysis of tanker structures.

We have steadily diversified our range of services during the 1990's. Today, we also provide our customers with software development, data acquisition systems, field inspection, verification and mapping, CAD drafting, and multimedia productions.
