Comprehensive Vessel Data Management
VIAS delivers fast, intuitive vessel data management to operator
executives and ship personnel. They have instant access to vessel
documents, inspection histories, current vessel locations, safety gear
data, and more. VIAS also expands seamlessly when additional customized
modules are required.
Fleet-Wide, Document Database
VIAS users quickly view all vessel-related documents, or may specify
with filters, such as class, keywords and revision dates. Documents are
easily edited or printed inside their native programs. Typical file
types include vessel drawings, vessel specifications, fire and safety
plans, structural reports, or any Windows-based data file including
spreadsheets, sketches and photos.
FracTrac III
FracTrac III is a key module in VIAS that was designed to satisfy the
U.S. Coast Guard's Critical Area Inspection Plan (CAIP) resulting from
the OPA-90 mandate which requires operators to closely monitor
structural events such as fractures, buckling, and wastage. It embodies
MCA Consultants' proprietary inspection data management package, database
services, and more than 25 years in marine engineering. FracTrac III
delivers:

Global Vessel Tracking System
This Internet-based application graphically displays the vessel's
last-reported location plotted against a route map showing local
weather conditions, sea state and estimated time of arrival for all
ships in the fleet. Click on a vessel to email any crewmember.
Safety Gear Data Management
Safety equipment is clearly laid out against a background of the
general arrangement. Users select customized symbols to instantly see
actual equipment images, specifications and data on proper use. Options
include Maintenance Schedule Review as well as Automatic Maintenance
Alert to warn users if safety gear has not been serviced by the
specified service date. This module can also be used as a training tool
to familiarize crewmembers with the location and actual appearance of
safety equipment.
